Five friends joined together by a passion for wine.
That’s all we needed. It helps that three of us have worked in the wine industry! The venture sprouted vigorously since each partner brought a specialty to the group: winemaker, packaging expert, quality control, IT guru, and legal expertise.

Literally growing up “between the vines” Jesus is from a wine making family in the Rioja region, more specifically, Rioja Alta. A mechanical engineer by trade, Jesus has spent his professional career in the wine packaging industry.
If he isn’t fixing a bottling line or creating new machines he can be found cooking his mother’s and grandmothers’ recipes.

Our winemaker, Basilio, has been making wine with his family in the Rioja wine region since he was a child. Winemaking isn’t something that he takes lightly. Having worked in wineries in three continents, Basi is always looking to further perfect his craft.
When he isn’t making or bottling wine, you can find him enjoying a glass or perhaps taking a siesta dreaming about his next batch.

Ever the scientist, Alaina is our quality control guru. From California, most of her professional life has been spent in a lab performing microbial monitoring of wine and infrastructure amongst other things.
When she isn’t performing natural cork quality control she can be found studying Spanish and planning to start her own organic farm.

When she isn’t working on our contracts and permits, she can be found cycling through vineyards or shadowed by her loving, 150-pound Swiss Mountain “pup,” Atlas. on his quest to find the best pintxo (tapa).
